The Do's and Don'ts of Toy Care

So you bought a toy - now what? One thing’s for sure: you’ve made a great investment! Our toys are made out of 100% platinum-cure silicone, which can last a very long time if taken care of properly. Here are some tips and tricks to caring for your new acquisition.

Please note - we do not take responsibility for any contact-related or negligent damage to our products caused by disregarding these instructions. We do our best to ensure the toys we produce are awesome and made of the finest materials - but due to the nature of silicone (especially softer firmnesses), silicone can sometimes be sensitive to adverse handling or conditions.

DO:

  • Clean your toy thoroughly before the first time you use it!

  • Clean your toy thoroughly after each time you use it!

  • Clean the cumtube after each time you use it!

  • To clean your toy:
    • You can use soap and warm water!

    • You can use a soft sponge to clean the surface of your toy. Remember to be gentle!

    • You can put your toy through the dishwasher!

    • You can boil your toy in a big pot of water!

    • You can use a 10% bleach solution to clean your toy. Soak for an hour, and make sure to rinse your toy completely afterwards!

DON’T:

  • Forget to clean your toy!

  • Allow any substance to dry or congeal inside of a cumtube, Were-Able, or penetrable!

DO:

  • Allow your cleaned toy to air-dry in an area with low humidity.

  • Gently blot off water with a soft, clean towel before storing your toy.

DON’T:

  • Store a still-damp toy in a sealed, moist environment (like a ziplock bag). Make sure to dry it off before storing it away!

DO:

  • Store your Bad Dragon toy separately from other brands of toys!

  • Store your Bad Dragon toy in a clean, dry place!

  • Store your clean, dry Bad Dragon toy in a ziplock bag, or in a clean, dry towel!

DON’T:

  • Store your Bad Dragon toy with toys made by any other manufacturer!

    • Low-quality materials like vinyl, jelly, and even some other silicone blends can cause adverse reactions between toys.

    • This can create anything from an uncomfortably sticky area that won’t go away to a melted mess from incompatible toys breaking each other down - so play it safe, and store them separately!

  • Store your toy where it could be smashed or squished!

    • Doing so could cause irreparable damage to your toy.

  • Store your toy where it could come into contact with any chemicals, or have chemicals spilled on it!

DO:

  • Use a good-quality water-based or oil-based lubricant with your toy!

DON’T:

  • Use silicone lubricant with your toy or allow your toy to come into contact with any silicone lube!

    • Just like other toys can cause damage to your toy, silicone lubricant can also leave your toy feeling sticky, or cause it to break down over time.

DO:

  • Treat your toy with care! Silicone is strong, but it isn’t invincible.

DON’T:

  • Bite, cut, or scratch your toy!

    • Silicone doesn’t do well with sharp or abrasive surfaces. Avoid anything that could scrape or cut your toy, like sandpaper, sharp teeth, rope, or scissors.

    • If it would make you say “ow!” it will probably hurt your toy!

DO:

  • Contact us with any questions you may have that aren’t covered here!

DON’T:

  • Feel bad about contacting us if you have a question we didn’t answer!

    • Really! Just ask away - we’re here to help!
